Welcome from the Chief Executive Officer
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Newcastle Anglican Schools Corporation.
The Newcastle Anglican Schools Corporation is an incorporated body of the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle and was formed in 2007 following the passing of the Newcastle Anglican Schools Corporation Ordinance 2007.
The object of the corporation is the establishment, promotion, governance and support of Anglican schools within and outside the Diocese and to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to students, staff, parents and the community.
Our member schools are as follows:
Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College
Lakes Grammar – An Anglican School
Manning Valley Anglican College
Scone Grammar School
Collectively, our member schools have approximately 2600 pre-school and school students and employ in excess of 300 staff.
The Newcastle Anglican Schools Corporation itself has grown from humble beginnings in 2007 to now employ nine people. The corporation’s office is based at Level 1, 134 King Street Newcastle NSW 2300.
In addition to providing centralised financial support to our member schools, we provide the following assistance to our member schools:
- Governance advice
- Christian religious education support and advice
- Professional development
- Financial oversight (including budgeting and capital works)
- Industrial relations and legal support
